Residents respond to Core Strategy consultation
More than 1,800 responses to the current consultation on proposed changes to its Core Strategy have so far been received by Amber Valley Borough Council. Over 500 residents have also attended one or more of the public consultation events held between 12 August and 22 August.
The Council has published a number of proposed changes to its Core Strategy, which will form part of the new Local Plan and set out policies and proposals for the use and development of land in the Borough up to 2028.
Councillor Chris Emmas-Williams, the Council’s Deputy Leader/Cabinet Member for Regeneration, said: “I welcome the level of interest that has been shown so far during this consultation and would urge people to make their views known before the end of the consultation period at 4.30pm on Monday 8 September.”
Copies of the Proposed Changes and the accompanying Sustainability Appraisal are available for inspection at the following venues during normal opening hours:
