Police in Wessington appeal for information following recent thefts

Police are appealing for information after items were taken from a number of properties in Wessington.

Overnight between Thursday, August 14 and Friday, August 15, offenders stole and damaged items from gardens in the area.

A windmill statue and a set of 16 solar lights were taken from two gardens on Hillcrest Avenue, Wessington. They were later discovered damaged in the nearby area.

Offenders also caused damage to two stone bollards which were placed in the garden of a property on Church Street in Wessington.

Safer Neighbourhood officers are carrying out enquiries into the incident and are asking anyone with any information to contact them.

Anyone with information about the incidents is asked to contact police on 101, the non-emergency number for Derbyshire police.
