Man charged in connection with an alleged threat against an army cadet in Belper
A man who allegedly threatened an army cadet in Belper on Saturday has been charged with a public order offence.
On Saturday morning (Oct 25) an army cadet reported that a man had made a threat towards him while he was standing outside the Co-Op on Strutt Street in Belper.
The suspect had then walked away to a car parked in the store’s car park and was driven away.
Adelso Saws (34) of Hillcrest Drive, Kilburn was charged with using threatening, abusive, insulting words or behaviour with intent to cause fear of or provoking violence.
He is due to appear before magistrates in Chesterfield this morning (Wednesday October 29, 2014).
