Police appeals for information

Police appeal following a break-in at a Loscoe building site

Police are appealing for witnesses after surveying equipment from stolen from a construction site in Loscoe.

Overnight between 5pm on Thursday, January 22 and 7am on Friday, January 23, offenders entered a building site along High Street in Loscoe.

Whilst on the site, thieves smashed the window of a Portakabin and stole keys from within. They then unlocked an additional cabin on site and stole a Topcon Total Station from within.

A KVA plant generator, surveying equipment and two computer monitors were also stolen during the non-dwelling burglary.

Anyone with any information about the incident, or who may have seen someone acting suspiciously around the site, is asked to contact PC Lindsey Howitt on 101, quoting crime number 3139/15.

Police investigating Heanor vehicle damages appeal for information

Officers investigating a series of vehicle damages in Heanor are appealing for witnesses to come forward.

Over the past few weeks, police have received reports from motorists regarding damage caused to the tyres of their vehicles.

Overnight between 8.30pm on Sunday, January 18 and 8am on Monday, January 19, offenders used an unknown instrument to slash all four tyres of a Ford Transit Van.

The vehicle was parked on the driveway of a property on Ilkeston Road in Heanor when the incident is believed to have taken place.

The front tyre of a silver coloured Hyundai Terracan was slashed as it was parked outside a property on Thorpes Road, Heanor. The incident is believed to have taken place sometime between 10pm on Friday, January 16 and 11am on Saturday, January 17.

Damage was also caused to the tyres of a Volkswagen Golf and a white coloured Ford Transit Van which that parked along Burnthouse Road, and also to a Land Rover parked along Ray Street, Heanor.

Officers from the Heanor and Loscoe Safer Neighbourhood Team are asking residents to remain vigilant and to report any suspicious activity to them to help to stop a crime from happening and to catch offenders in the act.
