Tool accessories stolen in Heanor pub break-in
Burglars broke into a pub that is under renovation and stole workers’ tools from inside.
The offenders broke into the old Market Hotel, in Market Place, Heanor, which is closed and undergoing a complete renovation.
Workmen’s accessories including drill batteries and charger points were stolen in the burglary, which happened overnight between Wednesday, March 25 and Thursday, March 26.
An attempted overnight break-in at the pub was also reported to police on Thursday, March 19. In that incident, offenders tried to prise open a fire door but did not manage to get inside.
Officers investigating the two offences want to hear from anyone who saw suspicious activity around the pub.
Police also want to hear from any drivers who may have been passing and could have spotted suspicious vehicles near the building.
