The event will be held at our Elvaston Castle Country Park on Saturday 26 and Sunday 27 September 10am − 5pm and admission is free − parking is £6.
An annual celebration of traditional and contemporary woodland crafts, it promises to be a brilliant day out for all the family.

- Pole lathe turning - Fire lighting - Campfire cooking - Green Man songs and stories - Forest school activities - Sawmilling and chipping - Hurdle making - Survival skills - Rustic furniture - Longbow maker - Didgeridoo maker - Low ropes course on Saturday - Woodturning with a horse driven gin wheel - Clay workshops for children - Chair making and spoon making
Cabinet Member for Highways, Transport and Infrastructure, Councillor Dean Collins said:
"We’re gearing up for what’s going to be another family fun-packed Woodland Festival again this year.
"Come along and enjoy the many activities we have on offer and enjoy the great outdoors too."
You can also chat with some of our foster carers, who’ll be there to talk to you about what fostering is about. We welcome foster care enquiries from all backgrounds.
