Body of a man found at the scene of a fire
The body of a man has been found at the scene of a fire.
Police and firefighters were called to a farm in Morton, near Alfreton, at around 8.50 pm last night (Wednesday, February 3).
Attempts were made to resuscitate a man found inside the farmhouse but he died at the scene. He is thought to be in his late 60s.
A joint investigation will take place today where Derbyshire Constabulary and Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service will work together to determine the cause of the blaze.
Anyone with information should call police on 101, quoting incident number 611 of February 3.
