Police are appealing for witnesses after a car was stolen in Alfreton

Police are appealing for witnesses after a car was stolen in Alfreton.

On Saturday, July 18 at around 5pm a man was in a white BMW 3 Series which was parked in the KFC car park on Hockley Way near to Nixs Hill Industrial Estate when he was approached by three men.

One of the men kicked the car, took the keys and demanded that the driver get out. The man took the keys, walked over towards a blue Mini Cooper and a Volkswagon Golf. He gave the keys to a man that was wearing all black clothing and a ski mask who then got in the BMW and drove off.

Police are asking anyone that may have seen anyone acting suspiciously around KFC, or for anyone that saw the two cars mentioned to contact DC Lucy Bell at Ripley police station on 101 quoting crime reference number 30544/15.

To report crime anonymously call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
