These Competition Terms and Conditions apply when you enter any promotion, prize draw or competition (“Competition(s)”) operated by Amber Sound FM Ltd (“ASFM”).
1. Introduction
1.1 These terms are binding on you when entering any ASFM competition.
1.2 Specific rules, instructions or prize details published on our website or via on-air messages, along with these general terms, form the full competition terms.
1.3 ASFM is not responsible for competitions run by third parties. Responsibility lies with the promoter.
1.4 No purchase is necessary for free prize draws.
1.5 If any dishonesty or misconduct is discovered, ASFM reserves the right to withdraw prizes or disqualify entrants.
1.6 You agree to cooperate with ASFM’s team for health and safety and broadcast purposes.
2. Eligibility to Enter
2.1 Competitions are open to UK residents only. Employees of ASFM, their families or affiliates may not enter.
2.2 Only one entry per person unless stated otherwise. Multiple entries may be disqualified.
2.3 Syndicated or machine-assisted entries are not allowed.
2.4 ASFM may limit entries from the same IP or phone number.
2.5 You cannot win more than one prize valued over £500 within 6 months.
2.6 Some competitions are open to over 18s only. Proof of age may be required.
2.7 You must enter using your legal name and provide accurate information.
3. Health and Safety
3.1 You confirm you are fit to participate in any activities associated with the competition.
3.2 Unsafe or inappropriate behaviour may lead to disqualification.
3.3 Participation is at your own risk.
3.4 You must disclose any relevant medical conditions.
3.5 Illegal substances and unauthorised alcohol consumption are prohibited.
3.6 You must comply with safety instructions at all times.
4. Text Message and Telephone Entry
4.1 Entry via SMS is only possible on compatible mobile networks.
4.2 Shortcodes may vary by competition.
4.3 Carefully follow entry instructions to ensure valid entry.
4.4 Text and call charges vary by provider. Free entry methods will be offered.
4.5 Text entries may be added to our promotional database unless you opt out.
4.6 Entrants should get bill-payer’s permission before entering.
4.7 If disconnected or unreachable, ASFM may select another entrant.
4.8 Sending a text may add your number to our marketing list. You can opt out but will be re-added on re-entry.
5. Claiming Prizes
5.1 Proof of entry and ID may be required.
5.2 Fraudulent or false claims will void eligibility.
5.3 Prizes must be claimed within 28 days of notification.
6. Prizes
6.1 Prizes are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash.
6.2 ASFM is not liable for lost or delayed prizes.
6.3 ASFM may substitute a prize of equal value if necessary.
6.4 If more valid claims than prizes exist, a draw will determine winners.
6.5 Prizes must be lawful for the recipient to own or use.
7. Holiday Prizes
7.1 Holidays must be taken on specific dates and are not transferable.
7.2 Winners must have valid passports.
7.3 Holidays are not open to under-18s unless otherwise stated.
7.4 Winners must obtain their own travel insurance if not provided.
7.5 Participants must comply with travel provider terms.
7.6 Winners are responsible for extra costs (e.g. meals, travel to the airport).
7.7 Visa, vaccination and travel requirements are the winner’s responsibility.
8. Ticket Giveaways
8.1 Ticket winners must comply with venue and promoter terms.
9. Voting
9.1 One vote per email address. Duplicate votes may be disqualified.
10. Disqualification and Cancellation
10.1 ASFM reserves the right to disqualify entrants who breach these terms or bring the station into disrepute.
10.2 Competitions may be cancelled or amended without liability.
10.3 ASFM reserves the right to withdraw prizes from disqualified entrants.
10.4 Errors in print, production or broadcast may void promotional material.
11. Confidentiality
11.1 You agree not to disclose confidential information about ASFM or its competitions.
11.2 Publicity around your win requires ASFM’s prior written approval.
12. Publicity
12.1 Winners must participate in publicity as required.
12.2 ASFM may publish winners’ names and use audio recordings for promotional purposes.
13. Intellectual Property
13.1 By entering, you grant ASFM full rights to use your submitted material for broadcast and promotional purposes.
13.2 You warrant you have all rights and permissions for submitted material.
13.3 Entries must not infringe any third-party rights or contain unlawful material.
14. Exclusion of Liability
14.1 ASFM is not liable for any loss or damage arising from entry or participation, except for liability which cannot be excluded by law.
14.2 ASFM is not responsible for events outside its control.
15. General
15.1 You agree to comply with all instructions from ASFM representatives.
15.2 You must not bring ASFM into disrepute.
15.3 Late, lost, or damaged entries will not be accepted.
15.4 ASFM’s decisions are final and no correspondence will be entered into.
15.5 These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
